Centraide offered $ 25,000 for the hiring of a project coordinator from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. The objective is to expand the project and also to train English-speaking volunteer-trainers in order to offer services to English-speaking and / or bilingual centers wishing to give module 1 of the program.

Caisses populaires Desjardins donated the sum of $ 3,500 in 2020 to finance the digital platform www.moncerveauauboulot.com, which makes the program accessible in the digital sphere.

In 2020, the Official Languages Support Program (PAFO) awarded a grant of $ 39,239 to set up phase 2 of the Your brain at work! Project. During this component, we will work on setting up a digital platform that will be accessible to the general public, volunteer trainers and program participants. This will expand the project and reach out to seniors’ centers across the province of Ontario.

We are also working on the development of a new pedagogical module which will make it possible to offer several workshops of 1.5 hour each. The participants of Module 1 will be able to follow these workshops which will continue the process started with the creation of this new program in Ontario.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation (FTO) donated $ 113,200 to set up the Your Brain at Work! for the period 2017-2019.

With this funding, we have set up more than 19 workshops, trained 20 volunteer-trainers, welcomed 290 participants and educated more than five seniors’ centers located in Eastern Ontario for the integration of this program into their regular programming. .
